While I'm not a huge Alonso fan, you have to say he is incredibly talented. But at the same time...
I'm not a fan of Ferrari as a whole. I think that's where the problem truly lies in this case. They come across as the spoiled child that likes to see how far it can push its luck. The commentators did a good job of presenting the whole Alonso/Ferrari/FIA tryst during the race even. Alonso was lapping WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY behind Button/Hulkenburg, and cried about some debris in a corner to his engineers and BAM. Safety car. P1/P2 advantage: gone.

I do not think Ferrari had such a bad car as Sammy believes. When I look at it, they had a great car, a championship winning car. The design gave them an aero edge, just the driver was rarely ever able to set the car up correctly, and Ferrari forcing Massa into a solid B driver position meant that Massa wasn't stealing points from other drivers.
Clifford was a lot faster than Alonso fans will let on. Massa was off his usual pace I will admit, but he picked it up, and was solidly beating Alonso where it not for Ferrari strategy that kept him behind Alonso. I didn't like Alonso at Renault, I didn't like him at Mclaren, and I don't really like him at Ferrari. The crap between him and Hamilton at Mclaren, was pretty bad. The real driver in the field, that did very well in a car that wasn't a top car(yet), was Kimi.

Well this is not surprising considering that Jean Todt is the President of the FIA. Lets see... oh thats right, he ran the Ferarri F-1 team before moving to the FIA! Funny how things usually go the way Ferarri want them to....

Always a fan of F1 but despise whiners. Unfortunately in F1, its seems mandatory the second place loser always looks for the infraction. Lots of coin at stake.
The race, judging, car post inspection done and the cork was popped... season over. Alonso and Ferrari can take it up next year.

No kidding! Who could forget Massa's almost championship a few years ago? And, wasn't it Brazil where the attempted kidnapping of JB occurred?

maybe they can find a way for a deserving guy to get it, don't like either Vettel or Alonso. Maybe Button.

Well, I'm sure there are illegal technologies on all of the cars in the grid. I especially suspect that the Red Bulls have some form of traction control. (I don't recall seeing one slip or wriggle once the past season.) But based on recent history, the FIA will only punish one team for such misdeads.

Not sure I care much either way, but Vettel indeed passed under yellow. Good explanation in this clip

Even if there was a case, I'm glad FIA didn't fix the results after the fact. It couldn't have been a good thing for the sport as a whole.
