what is your favorite inexpensive ink pen?

forget the Pelicans or Mont Blancs..

what is your go-to cheapo ink pen? the new gel inks have really gotten pretty good. they write slick as snot, and look great on paper.

interestingly enough, my handwriting is best when i am using a wooden pencil..odd.

but a Pilot G-2 is my pen of choice.

sorry bored at work.

My favorite pen is the first one I pull out of the drawer that actually works, and doesn't write in sparkly pink ink (one of the hazards of having a 9 year old girl).

Uni ball Signo gel. Super smooth. After using them for a while it's hard to write with anything else.

Try a Pilot "Varsity" disposable fountain pen. Ooooooh, nice. Then get a real fountain pen. Watermans start at $90.

Uni ball micro blue

Like an old glove. Could never hold on to a expensive pen.

I've used G2's and similar from time to time, and they're always nice at first. But it never fails that they end up pissing me off in one way or another.

But this one never lets me down:

Pilot B2P (bottle to pen) in gel ink. They just feel right and write well. The ink is interchangeable with the G2 pens.

I can't believe I just took the time to take a photo of my favorite pen and post it on the internets. . . but I did, and it is my favorite.

TÜL GL-1 medium point gel pens from Amazon or Office Depot. Around $18 for a 12 pack. Nice gel pen, I like Pilot G2's also....

This.
I even have a ritual where I slam the ball point into the counter top a couple times with each new pen. It loosens the ball a little and gives a little goop effect to the ink flow - which makes it look a little more like a fountain pen.
