Just bought a new Cadillac CTS

Well sorta new....2010 absolutely flawless. Its actually my first luxury car. I wanted to buy American and the Caddy seemed to offer the most for the money. My poor turbo 911 has been sitting for months now. :( I hope I don't get weird and decide to sell it. I really like the CTS.

Glad to hear you like your CTS, I hope it serves you well!!

I have a client that has a 2010 CTS (with the rare Sports pkg) he bought brand new. He normally buys through me, I helped him procure it and sell his 2006 BMW 530i the Caddy replaced (he had a 540i before that). He also currenty has a 2008 997TT 6 spd that shares a garage with the CTS.

He LOVES his CTS, he likes it better than his BMWs. Last we spoke he had about 50K on the CTS and has yet to have any issues. We got him tires about a year ago, but that's been it other than fluids.

I hope yours is as good to you!

On my radar as a new DD within the year, too. I also recently poked around an ATS -- I really, really like that model.

Nice. As I said in another thread, I can't wait for the CTS-V to depreciate a little more. Great looking cars inside and out.

Nice. Enjoy!

I am coming up on 1 year with my V-wagon. I just love the thing. Has about 8500mi on the clock as of last night (almost exclusively weekend and "holiday" miles). Its a keeper.

Jacob - Beautiful! Have you had a chance to compare your car to the recently released W212 AMG E Class (E63) wagons with the twin turbo 5.5L?

I will have a CTS-V wagon at some point. Not if, but when.

Better hurry. I just read that Caddy will be dropping it after they refresh the model. Just rumors, but...

Search Motor Trend's website and YouTube channel for their long-term CTS-V Wagon (6spd) series.
My journalist friend Jonny Lieberman drove that car for 36K miles and they had to pry it out of his hands to return it. He loved that car.

Crap! that was the fastest VETO ever by my European car loving wife (with the exception of Japanese substitutions)!

DAMN!

It may seem to be heresy to those who worship only Urpeen cars, but there are some darned good machines coming out of the USA companies these days.

I wish Ford would revive the Lincoln brand in the same manner as Caddy has been rescued.

With me, it's a political thing. I won't buy a GM car...not after the way the GM bond and stock holders were left with zilch when the Government took over.

kaisen 12-02-2012 10:05 AM

You should take her for a ride in one, and I'll bet it might change her car-snobbery viewpoint

The CTS-V is comparable to any euro uber-sedan, including the six-figure M5 and AMGs. In several ways, it's better......and they don't offer a 6 speed wagon

Jim Bremner 12-02-2012 10:13 AM

Back in 2005 I rented a CTS for a few days while I was having my truck serviced. It was a standard V6 model. I would have loved to rent one to take to a HPDE weekend. I bet that I could run faster lap times than the 3 series bmw owners.

I could really put a hurt on people if it was a V car.

My next door neighbor is VP of Marketing for Caddie

He tossed me the keys to a triple black CTS V that he brought home.

That thing is a beast.

Handled awesome.

I'd buy one in a second.

CTS-V with a little upgrade package...

Seriously, I veto'd her veto. I hope that works out for me. She has all the parts I like.
