Flight

Saw this movie last night, liked it a lot. Denzil did a great job, as he always does. Anyone want to discuss what they thought of this movie?

Haven't seen it yet, don't know what it's about, but I think I need to see it because it will make me confront my fear of flying.

Need to see it because it was written by one buddy, edited by another, (who also apparently makes his acting debut as one of the passengers), plus I've heard that it's good.

In order to recognize your buddy (acting) you'll need to know what he looks like upside down hanging by his seast belt. Not giving away too much, I hope. So anyone who's seen it should also be careful not to spoil it for others. BTW one big city newspaper DID describe the entire movie including to ending. I read it but the movie was still great IMO

Possible SPOILER to those that haven't seen it

I saw it a couple of weeks ago. The crash in my opinion was secondary to the actual movie.
If you have a fear of flying this movie won't make it any better.
Denzel Washington played a complex person.

I only liked the crash scene. The rest of the movie was sad for me.

I liked the movie inspite of the crash. Knew it was fake, and far fetched but it was the movie from then on that I really liked. Denzel did a good job with his part., and also noted that John Goodman stole every scene he was in, and he was only on for about 5mins total.

Several of our friends have stated the movie was overly dark and disturbing (drugs/sex). My BIL, who has no problem with violent movies, said he walked out during the first 30 minutes and snuck into another movie. We are going to wait for this one to hit DVD.

my friend said that at the end of the movie, someone from the back of the theater said, "jeez! can anyone else here use a drink?"
