FJ-40 for sale

I know some of you have been looking at FJ-40s from time to time. I happened to drive past this one today. I have no connection to or knowledge of the dealer.

That GMC panel in the background is a deal at $24k if it really is a solid, older restoration. It'd take about $1200 to replace those god-awful whitewalls though.

Excellent. I was crafting an email to Eric this afternoon...I'm selling my 356 and looking for an FJ for my son and I.

He gets it when he graduates VMI.

Thanks!

I don't know about pretty (needs paint, etc.) but i is a dry, never wrecked, unmolested driver that is really well sorted. It runs as designed. Funny, though, it does attract a lot of attention.

I'm simply to tall for the car, especially since it is a Notch. A lady at a stop light asked me if I was sitting in the back seat!

It is on ebay and the reserve has been met, so we'll see. This has been a great experience, the best part getting to know Scott.

Shame your dimensions were not compatible with the little red car, it's a gem.

Thing about a '76, it is less attractive in Cali because of fthe smog thing. I would imagine that would be a plus if you live somewhere that is less critical.

It might be worth keeping an I on the web site or calling. He had a stock(ish) FJ-40 about 3 weeks ago that sold.

Too bad it couldn't be in Scott's hands...

We tried. I offered him the car for what I paid plus repairs. He is a busy young man managing a new career and we just couldn't make it fit.

The last email exchange we had on the issue was exemplary on his part. I was very impressed with his maturity and kindness. As I mentioned, the best part of this experience has been getting to know Scott: We never met in person but we will.
