My Recent Hedge Against the Fiscal Ciff

So - After going through some rough times since late '07 - I have a new end game plan. I'm investing in what I know and I control the entire process because of my background.

I've made a few good buys since the summer and have done very well so far. I just finished a early mostly original Chevy P/U which is now for sale and completed the deal on this Chevelle bought waaaaay under market.

I present my: 1970 LS5 454 SS Chevelle - 1-of-2197 made p/s - a/c - p/b - am/fm with one repaint; factory color. ALL numbers matching with original build sheet! Oh yeah...........has extremely rare bench seat/ column shift auto!!

Enjoy!

Before I forget........My truck 1972 Chevy Cheyenne, 350 4BBL, auto, p/s, p/b, am/fm. Was a frame off some years back. I finished it, all stock and original (including owners manual)

Runs and drives like it looks. Buyers anyone?

As a buyer in this economy......... you have to be VERY disciplined, VERY descerning and patient. The Chevelle deal I've been working on for 9 months. Most of the other stuff I've bought is constant networking with the right people and constant searches of all available ads.

To be successful; it takes a lot of hard work, long hours, tons of research and sometimes a little luck like any other sound investing.

This one I bought in September, 1 day of hard work, a little $$. Sold it 6 days later under market and made $2K

1962 Nova: 6 cyl. auto, p/s, p/b - hard top. All original except for 1 repaint starting to show it's age.

I sold it for $9K just like it sat and that was under market. It still needed a few small things to make it an every day driver. A lot more time and $$ to make it really nice piece.

Nice, love the car and the license plates. I bought my son a 70 Cutlass with a small block for $6K about 7 years ago. I think he sold it for about what I bought it for.

If I wasn't across the country, I'd be driving over to look that pickup over!

Beauty of a truck--love the houndstooth interior and Hugger paint.

I have never been a Chevelle fan, but that thing just looks wicked--very nice.

Thanks all! This Chevelle is soooo original except for paint and mechanical refresh. I know the total production numbers is low but combined with bench seat and column auto............very rare for a model like this.

So I'm in the process of finding a few NOS parts and will sell when the weather breaks in the spring. I have a lot of cleaning and elbow grease to make the entire car like it needs to be. These cars are so, so hard to find original, not modified mainly because they were street/strip raced all the time, banged up and then tossed aside. They are only original once. anyone can restore a car.

Restored cars are everywhere with some Clone cars being passed off as original with bogus paperwork that appears legit. Now there are actually more LS5 / LS6 cars out there than were produced by GM. Because I have most of the GM paperwork and the ownership lineage, I have a rare piece indeed.

This is prolly comparable to an early RSR all numbers car with a paper trail. Maybe not as much money tho!
