Been watching since the Boss and Bon Jovi were on.
Pretty good concert, except for this guy with the leather skirt that is on now.

I didn't see much of it, but I was fortunate enough to catch Billy Joel knocking it out of the old ball park with his ageless and stunningly beautiful anthemic tribute to the greatest city on earth...

PBS had Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and the Rolling Stones Live at the CheckerBoard in Chicago 1981, classic stuff. Missed the Sandy concert.

Roger Daltrey by far impressed me the most. Sounded better than he did 10-15 years ago. Amazing.

+1 That was good.

Observations on the concert - to raise money, rely of rock /roll of the 60's and 70's cuz that is where the money is. I agree with Mick Jagger about old English rockers raising money for the USA. I liked Clapton's set. Alicia Keys is hot! The Who looked old but they looked that way in their Super Bowl appearance. Didn't stay up after The Who set. Liked Roger Waters and Eddy Vedder too.

I changed channels also when Kayne came on (he said clinging to his AARP card)... only to find one of the other channel had Roger Waters playing...

And yes Daltrey was amazing!

+1 on changing channels when Kanye West came on (also clinging to the AARP card). Daltrey was great, and Billy Joel hasn't lost a thing. The Who using clips of Keith Moon in the song was really cool. All in all, a great concert for old farts like me who listened to all of this in the 70's.

Saw the commercials for this a few days ago.

Announcer: "Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, The Who, Paul McCartney......"

Me: "Cool, I'll have to watch that...."

Announcer: "Alicia Keys, Kanye West.."

Me: "Correction, I'll have to DVR that so I can fast forward through the shiat."

Wish I did (and Billy Joel)... but started the concert late

Was the bass and guitar player from U2 playing alongside the Who?

I thought the Stones were good, but Keith looked ill. I thought they did well with the core "real" band. The 4 + Bobby and Darryl the forever sidemen.. The WHO were great but had a cast of thousands behind them as sidemen.Pino is a pretty anemic replacement for John. Good but might as well be one of the guys behind the stage. Clapton was Clapton...always good, always the same. Kanya was his usual a$$ self.

Keith is not ill, he is dead. But he sure can play a mean guitar. The surprise of the night for me was the way in which the old guys stepped up and got rockin. Didn't see McCartney. But once Bruce got his voice, it was magic. Who was the guy standing in for Clarence? Did an admirable job under the circumstance. Was not really sure about the Keith Moon tribute, but once they started Baba O Rielly. Waters started a bit stiffly, but then got into it. Just missing Petty to make this one for the ages. Or maybe Led Zep should have surprised the crowd
