Ram-Chevy Truck Tug Goes Overboard

Pickup trucks? Check. Good, sturdy rope? Check. Swearing Hillbillies? Check.

Everything seems to be in place for an all-out redneck parking lot party. This is what happens when a group of truck lovers who root for competing brands get together in a parking lot for a game of tug-of-war. As you might have expected, the situation quickly gets out of hand. Maybe it was the fact that the diesel-engined Dodge Ram Cummins totally annihilated the Chevrolet Silverado, and to add insult to injury, proceeded to drag it around the parking lot on a little joyride. Or maybe it was immediately afterwards when the gathering crowd went completely berserk on the Ram driver for being the idiot he is.To make matters worse, the cops apparently showed up after the fact to sort out what had happened. I don't get it.

I actually like tractor pulls/truck pulls and any good old fashioned game of tug-of-war especially if MUD is involved!

But I don't get this. Why would you just drag another truck around the parking lot? The Chevy sat there like dead weight - what was the purpose? Tug-of-war you get INVOLVED! Both PULL - not just one side.

This was stupid. Not even "fun" stupid. Just stupid.

Nothing better than some friendly fun at the local boat landing. BTW my older Dodge never lost, although I was never dumb enough to hook up to a diesel.

Long ago, growing up in the Louisiana swamps, everybody had big mudder trucks. Most of my friends had dodges, jeeps, chevys, etc. A few of us had Toyotas. Mine had a 14 inch lift with super swamper 44" tires and I never got stuck. ever. ( i have broken a rear driveshaft and had to drive home in front wheel drive only, but thats another story) Anyway, one night during our mudding adventures, one guy got stuck in a deep puddle. The Toyota that everyone looked down upon was the only truck who could get in and pull him out. So naturally, once clear of the hole, i didnt stop. I kept pulling for another 100 yds or so 'just for bragging rights'. That story went around for years and i never heard anybody put the 'Yoda down aftrwards!

You clearly know nothing about American culture. A bunch of white, gun totin', beer drinkin' good ol' boys - be they rednecks, white trash, or what have you - know how to raise hell and, if need be, settle their differences without shooting one another.

Jeff I've enjoyed and know how you drive, (very well sincere salute is sent, honestly) but also been in your passenger seat many a time, and remember the time you passed the dump truck, on a 2 lane road, with a bike rider coming the other way, a week before my Fiji trip? I thought you were either going to splat him, or splat me.


So a couple of guys had a tug-off with trucks and drug one-n-other around, big woop de doo. Next thing you know the web will have Burn-out contests with tires getting blown out...........ooops, already is out there.
