As you probably know Knipex is German made. The Germans used to make good tools, not so much lately IMO.
I have a pair of large Knipex circlip pliers that I bought to rebuild my 915 trans. They're OK and they were cheap but if I was doing it for a living I would have coughed up the extra for Snapon.

Does Snapon make what you're looking for?

Yes they're expensive but I've never regretted buying Snapon.

I have only one. I generally like it very much for rough work. that was the intention of this particular tool. it is an adjustable wrench. A very fast adjustable wrench that's on a slip joint for holding small nuts or bolt heads. I never us it anywhere near a car.

I have a Knipex Cobra and do not care for it. I'll stick with Channelock. I do not care for the way they move to adjust for size. Its probably just what I am used to, hand feel.

I have both the Alligator and the Cobra in both sizes. I like them. Although, they each have a different use, and should be used accordingly.

Love em! That's all I'll use for my site work equipment when it comes to different types of pliers, dikes and side flush cutting. Especially love the the Cobra..

RWebb,

I am a rep for them in the HVAC industry in FL. I took them by my local Porsche wrench to show him these "cool" tools. He laughed as he opens the pliers draw of his tool box to reveal at least 12 different pairs. They really are excellent.

Cobra and Alligator are very different. Get one of each!

The pliers wrench is probably the handiest pair of plier ever made. One size can replace an entire wrench set in a pinch.
