I know this guy. He has been posting photos all over Facebook of his two new guns. A 45, and a 38. He nicknamed them Pebbles, and Bam , Bam.
. This was todays Facebook post by him. Looks like Bam Bam bit back.
He has also muffed up some real nice cars in the short time I have known him.

onewhippedpuppy 01-02-2013 05:54 AM

The kind of guy that gives responsible gun owners a bad name.....

GH85Carrera 01-02-2013 05:59 AM

I always have a tough time feeling any sympathy for really stupid people. Anyone that shoots them-self is by definition a really stupid person. It is a pure "Hold my beer and watch this" moment.

dennis in se pa 01-02-2013 06:04 AM

I think that is a qualification for having your guns taken away.

I am a long time gun owner and NRA member, but we need to protect ourselves from some people.

This guy is one of them.

Mental/social issues?

fastfredracing 01-02-2013 06:12 AM

No mental , social issues that I know of , actually a nice guy, but has rich kid syndrome. Daddy has MONEY, and this kid has all the toys, but lacks common sense. Just glad he did not take out any of his buddies. The guy is 25. His dad is a cool guy, and kind of a hard ass, hopefully he kicks his ass, and takes his guns away.

it isn't even his foot!

speeder 01-02-2013 06:36 AM

That looks like a puncture wound/animal bite, not a GSW.

sammyg2 01-02-2013 06:59 AM

Not trying to interfere in darwin's business, but do we know details?

Did he shoot himself, did the gun explode, etc?
Kinda hard to condemn the guy based on a picture and zero info.
Or at least it should be.

vash 01-02-2013 07:03 AM

looks like a puncture from a phillips screwdriver..or a small broadhead on an arrow. if that is a gunshot..i need to rethink my caliber choices. i would imagine more damage?

fastfredracing 01-02-2013 07:20 AM

Sorry, I don't know any details other than seeing this photo and his words that state. " Oops I shot myself with my .45". I do have visions of him trying to do quick draw Mcgraw in his backyard though.
I'm supposed to put a clutch in their SC in the spring, so hopefully , I'll get some details .

Jim Bremner 01-02-2013 07:37 AM

Is his 45 a glock? lot of self wounds while striping glocks for cleaning.

I thought broadhead as well but too narrow o slits on exit wound

A930Rocket 01-02-2013 07:57 AM

That's what I thought, as I have one on my left hand where it slipped and gouged me.

Wouldn't a .45 do a little more damage?

Yea thats not a gun shot i'm gussing a driver sliped off a screw.

aigel 01-02-2013 10:23 AM

Man - you could have warned us of the GRAPHIC images.

I agree - that's a punch through with a phillips head screw driver. How is that possible working on a pistol? It takes a lot of force to punch through your hand.

Mid-twenties is not the time in your life to pick up injuries like that which indicate gross negligence. By that time you should have learned to be careful as now you aren't playing with pellet guns and pocket knives any more.

NO excuse while cleaning ANY weapon.

Rick Lee 01-02-2013 11:32 AM

I don't get the accidental shoots while cleaning Glocks. How does that happen? I've never even thought of cleaning a gun without clearing it first. And even then, I always have the muzzle is a safe direction while taking it all down. I guess the benefit of always carrying with one in the pipe is I never assume it's unloaded, even when I know it is unloaded.

onewhippedpuppy 01-02-2013 12:06 PM

There's no such thing as a "unloaded" gun. That's what I've always been taught.

Lothar 01-02-2013 12:12 PM

Anyone that has an accidental discharge while cleaning any gun needs to be convinced not to buy the gun in the first place.

There are procedures for such things that must be followed in the same way that you would not walk into the street in front of a moving bus. It's that simple.
