While it hasn't been true for a while, I think it's impressive that it was true once or twice (early on, and then again just after WW2). I don't think any other car company can say they held the title without dispute for any period of time.

+1

My company tries to make the "best" products here in the USA, and sometimes, "best" means $0.25 made in China instead. (Btw, Not all Chinese manufactured goods are cheap junk..)

I tried on a Schuberth at a bmw dealer a few months ago and I didn't fit worth a damn and I'm not going to mention any other brands

It certainly is not Nag Champa. That stuff is overpowering.

Well, if we are going to go back in time, then we might as well add to the list:

- IBM Selectric typwriters
- Sony Walkman portable audio cassette players
- The Phillips Laserdisc player (480x240 resolution - WOW!)
- The Gestetner Mimiograph machine (no PC Load Letter messages here!)
- The rock (most used tool prior to the iron age, so it does deserve a mention.)
- The wheel (second in usefulness only to the rock - just ask Grog.)
- Fire (okay - proably more useful than a rock)

I''ll vote with Azasadny for Zildjian cymbals being the best on Earth over Paiste any day, with one slight modification: Zildjian K's. Crisp clean and dry.
