is there such a product that is undisputed as the best on earth?

everyone here shops. i bet most of us will research an important purchase to death. we are looking for a great, reputable product. great quality. dare i say, "the BEST!".

my wife and i got into a long discussion. we could not come up with the undisputed BEST item of any category. is there something out there made by man, that everyone would say is the best? Leica binoculars..meh, Swavorski guys would argue you to death.. Snap On tools..ha! Mac Tools guys..they're annoying. Ford trucks!! "are you kidding me?" says the chevy guy..

there has to be something out there at everyone can agree on as far as asskicking quality. no? some company item that simply dominates the competition?

maybe this is like trying to find a best fighter on the planet. he/she doesnt exist because someone can always beat up someone else..

sorry. just bored and trying to defend my "Best" hunting boot, and "best" camp axe purchase to my wife :D

Zippo lighter. If it ever fails to work, they DO fix it for free. Of course, not many smokers left, so....

Browning hi-power!

The biggest problem with finding the best is that a lot of folks include price/value as one of the factors. For every item that we think is top notch there's probably a ridiculously priced alternative that targets the mega-touch that may actually be better.

+2 on Stihl chainsaws. My first one was handed down to me from my grandpa and was 30 years old, I used it for 10 years until the coil (NLA) went out. Bought a new MS310 and have been using it for 8 years with NO problems to heat the house exclusively with wood.
