Anybody have a S&W AR15-22?

Anybody have a S&W AR15-22? Are the mags a proprietery design where only S&W mags fit, or will others?

I decided to get this over the conversion, but would like a few for more mags.

When I was looking, the new S&W model had proprietary mags and the shop told me it was so no one could shoot 5.56 ammo in the gun? Sort of strange as the bolt and everything else is not compatible too! I ended up getting a Spikes Tactical ST-22 which uses an AR-15 lower and a dedicated 22LR upper. So it can be changed to other calibers by switching the upper, uses standard sized magazines also!

Edit: Ordered two (limit two per person). Thanks for the link. I'll look for more.

The S&W AR15-22 is a dedicated .22 not an AR15 converted to shoot .22. It just looks like an AR.

There are some other companies making Mags for it. But they are not cheep.

I have one. I do like it, mags are specific to the firearm.
In all honesty, I have a decked out Ruger 10-22 that I like better..

There were other options, but I thought it might compliment my AR15.

We'll see when it gets here. I've got 2100 rounds waiting for it.

Black Dog makes 50rnd drums for it as well.
The M&P 15-22 works well, and best of all breaks down and operates just like a AR so good for muscle memory.
