You can probably find a used copy for next to nothing.$
(Make sure it comes with the original CD)

Hate to break it to you all, but it is not free.

UPDATE, 2:40 p.m. PT: There has been clarification since this story broke. Adobe has not released the CS2 software for free. Instead, it has cancelled its CS2 license management servers, so for those with existing licenses it is now offering downloads that do not require contact with the licensing servers. This service is only going to be available for those with existing Adobe CS2 licenses, which will be verified when creating the Adobe account to download the software.

Also, CS2 on the Mac side was designed for the PowerPc.

Upon further reading, it looks like Adobe did not mean for it to be free, just help those with legit licenses out if they needed to reinstall in the future. Adobe killed the CS2 activation servers in Dec.

Initially, you needed a valid Adobe user/password to get to the DL page, but now it seems to be available to the general public. Confusing!

Here's what you do if you want the latest full ver. for free that NEVER expires.
You guys do your own homework from here and let your conscience guide.

There's a free utility called runasdate. 64 and 32 bit. Goog, d.load and install. The 64 ver goes in your C: programs directory and the 32 goes in the C: programs X86 dir.

Go to your friendly online AdB site, register as normal and select whatever you want for the full 30 day free trial. Install CS-x and run it. Wait until the next day to use and open the runasdate program. Enter your 'trial' program location and select the date to not change. Create a shortcut on the desktop and bam, you now can run AdB unlimited. The date on your PC is untouched and only the program thinks its valid.

As I mentioned, your on your own with this, don't complain to the creator of that program. Figure it out yourself if you have a stumble. I'm not endorsing this but trust me, the devil knows it works. Sorry, there is no tech support.
