Porsche 991 You Tube video... help...

A few months ago someone posted a You Tube video showing the difficulty of doing basic maintenance on the new 991 Porsche. In particular there was a clip of having to remove the whole rear bumper assembly just to change the air filter (I think it was).

I've been trying to find this video - but without success.

Does anyone recall the thread in which it was posted?

Many thanks in advance.

Same goes for the 996. And suddenly doing the valves on an older air cooled car doesn't look so bad.

Those look like throw away cars to me. I cannot imagine working on one of those when it's 20 years old, with 20 years of corrosion and other mechanics mucking it up, it would be a nightmare.

Think i'll stick with my old beater.
Takes about a minute to change the air filter.

WTF!!!???

The air filter on the boxster is UNDER the ECU!? LOL!!!

I knew that 991 was trouble first time I saw one with the engine lid open. But I didn't imagine that body panels had to be removed for an air filter change!

"These just pop off". Sure, but in 10 years? "These just snap off". All that popped together stuff will be garbage. What a nightmare!

I think my 993 is a keeper. Probably the last decent looking 911 one can DIY. It just went up $10k in my book.

There's no magic involved, it's a paper filter that passes air through it. The air filter on a 991 is no more good for 80,000 miles than the air filter on an '80s Carrera. Porsche may have extended the SERVICE INTERVAL on the air filter to 80,000, but that's a very different thing. I can't imagine what an air filter would look like at 80,000 miles.
