Panorama arrived yesterday....

...and it is...quite simply, the best edition I have ever seen. Chock full of interesting stories, great pictures and not one bit of factory propaganda. With all due respect to the former editors, I have to say congrats to Pete, Manny, Bill and the whole crew for putting out an awesome magazine. If this is a taste of what's to come we're in for some very good things.

BTW I must kill Dario Franchetti and steal that 911E 3.8.

The first thing I noticed was a greatly improved layout.

Finally each story was there clearly without ads in between. It drove me nuts when the story was broken up into segments, often finishing towards the end of the magazine.

I understand there's a lot of tradition in the size of the magazine, but I do hope that they follow through and increase the size.

Thanks for mentioning that. Mine has been sitting around for a week and I haven't even looked at it. Kind of shows where they have been, so this is good news!

Cheers Richard

The size tradition was so it will fit flat inside a 356 glovebox. Kind of cute, but it's not like the 356 is a daily driver these days. Folks used to carry the latest Pano in case they needed help on the road, would call regional officialdom, ask where to go for help/service.

Wishing Pete well...

Now that's a cool bit of historical trivia.

The new size should be made to fit in a boxster glovebox.
