Digital Photo processing -- best choices

Question for the Pelican braintrust...

I have some digital photographs I wish to 'develop,' frame and hang up on my walls. So where is the best place to get this done? I prefer not to us my home printer, since I am seeking better quality prints.

Are the CVS photo kiosks my best bet? Any other better choices?

Thanks,
-Z-man.

I use Costco. You can do it all over the net and either pick them up at a local Costco or have them mailed home. Very easy, if you're a member. I'm sure other stores offer the same services.

My wife just took a photography class. Instructor said Costco was the best deal out there.

The photographers at the paper where I work have their enlargements made at Costco and say that's the best deal around.

But I make my enlargements here at home using an HP PhotoSmart printer that I paid 200 bucks for. Initial printer cost aside, figuring just paper and ink, each print probably costs me a buck, a buck-50. Standard ink, HP's premium glossy paper. My prints are much sharper than the ones our pros are so proud of - sharpness is everything. And using Photoshop, I have complete control over the color. Drawback is that with this printer, I'm limited to 8.5 x 11. But that's fine. I buy frames and matting at Blick and am good to go.

I have been very happy with Costco They send some of it out Like the canvas wraps. Great work, great service less expense than the competition.

Clark Color Labs online... ClarkColor - Home
ClarkColor - All Products
Inexpensive, quick turn around, great processing online and blows away the cheap looking kiosk photo processing.. You did say you wanted good quality.
Check them out.
