It's definitely against good manners.

It isn't very difficult to search someones username with Google and determine that they use the same username on other sites like Etsy and Pintrest. From there it isn't too difficult to find a full name then match up a Facebook profile with the avatar photo used on the other sites.

The Facebook profile is public and the pics are hosted there. If she doesn't want them out there she shouldn't share them. Pelican isn't hosting the pics, I'm not hosting the pics, her Facebook profile is. I didn't post the pictures of her kids, that would be creepy.

If Todd didn't have that restraining order against me, I'd ask him to shut this down.

Stalking is also easy.....and creepy.

porsche4life 01-28-2013 12:43 PM

The good news is that taking a stalker out with a bat is easy too.....

And satisfying..... ;)

If the inmates haven't scared Janet away from the asylum by now, she's survived her indoctrination.

Pelican isn't female friendly, but certainly not on purpose. It's just a bunch of crusty old white dudes who really have no idea how to act when a woman is in their cyber man-cave.

There are 700 public photos of me. I'd certainly prefer to pick which one's are shared on Pelican.

But to make Janet feel more welcome, and less alone, I will post my most embarassing: a candid photo of me in my underwear. No, not that one from earlier.

They're "Fundies: the underwear built for two"

Taken by a friend up at her lake cabin. Drinks may have been involved.

Joe Bob, Redbeard meant Joe A in AZ. From what I recall, I only gave three pelicans my phone number. :)

And on Facebook, the only pictures people can access of mine is my profile page. I check my settings often and I don't post anything that I wouldn't mind people seeing. And yes, kids are another thing. If you repost pics of my boys without my permission, nice Tweeze is out the window and I become mama bear and will castrate any of you with my bare hands. Take that as a warning. Love you guys! ;)

Don't run into Kaisen....you'll put his eyes out....

Ba ha ha ha!!! Love the Christmas sweater! Kind of scared to see first and second place.

onewhippedpuppy 01-28-2013 12:54 PM

Eric, that brings back a great memory. A group of us at a cabin, plenty of booze and women, one of them vacates her pants (I can't recall why), and I managed to convince a buddy of mine to try them on. The pictures of him wearing what were very obviously women's jeans haunted him for a LONG time.:)

BRPORSCHE 01-28-2013 12:55 PM

That is an awful tacky xmas sweater. I have seen better.
