No... It's just that I so want you to get a 911 Tweez.

By the way, that is the sweetest thing anybody has ever said. :)

I will. Again, you know me by now. I am a determined gal. I will get it done!

I went on a TRE Hangover Rally That's how I ended up here. Was going to buy a 930 or an LongHood hotrod but the Che'vete fits a wheelchair for my wife.

The Color was going to be Silver but I found out about the gone in 60 seconds car was going to be Silver so it was Wimbledon White.

This thread has slowly morphed away from welcoming Janet.

I guess it's instructive for her to know we are easily distracted by all kinds of stuff.

tchanson, I realize you are trying to entice the wimmens with that plastic sunflower windmill thingie in the photo, but would it have killed you to put on a nice three-piece suit?

Jim Bremner 01-27-2013 08:56 PM

Janet, pics und details of the 944?

That's beautiful. Now if it was right hand drive and in Aus... ;)

tevake 01-27-2013 09:08 PM

Yep Jim, whats not to like? It runs and drives as nice as it looks.

Cheers Richard

PS I should add that I was really sad to see it go home

You sold it? I'm going to be bothering you when I start on my '70, I want to go a similar direction. I've driven sports cars for too many years to live with the stock suspension.

Shaun @ Tru6 01-28-2013 05:06 AM

Perhaps pics of us working on our cars would be of value?

OK.
Here is a picture of me working on my Formula B back in the day.

One of the strangest threads to date. Welcome janet, your presence here has cause a disruption in the force. Remember use your powers for good.

Great idea, Shaun. Me (my best side shown) performing surgery.

The men have got a good start on showing pictures of our butts while we are working on our cars. Fair is fair. That's all I'm sayin'.

Global west! A-Arms and Shocks & road race springs add in total control subframe kit 1 and kit 2 it creates a STIFF chassis when you jack up 1 side of the car both wheels will come up equally. add in Dr Gass's Boss 302 plate kit. If Dr Gass still has his alloy rear shackles add them. Also do the Shelby upper arm relocation
If Cobra Automotive will share their lower A-Arm relocation you might want to buy the a-arms from them UNLESS their lower A-Arm has been cut and bent. I saw one pic of a lower A-Arm failure from one getting a c-cut and angle job.

LEAVE thesteering worm& Ball box in it the rack and pinion that TCP made never felt as safe at speed even if you think about getin rid of 3 ball joints

Does your '70 have front drum brakes? The '70 Drum Brake spindles are a 1 year wonder and are the strongest. ( Had a pair on mine and had them x-rayed)

Don't bother with the Lincoln Versailles Rear dics. GO bigger.

Add in a Tremec 5 spd you might need to cut the tunnel and raise it some to get a better drive shaft angle.

I bought my Tremec prior to the road race one coming out. The old box had too wide of a ratio and too low of first. In order to get the cam to work I based it off of 2nd gear and hwy speed. I had a 3spd '67 shifter welded onto a 5 speed lower shifter. to hide the facy that it had a modern trans. The dumbass pot head who welded it for me first made it with the 5speed lever to a 3 spd trans! I might have it if you want!

For most applications you'll want a 10-1 first gear ratio and mine was around 13-1 but overdrive in 5th was 2.79 final drive. With the 245/50/16's 5,200 rpm was 152 miles an hour not that the car did it on the 605 freeway heading up hill from Irwindale Speedway to making the corner to the west 210 freway. If you jumped on the car in 3rd gear it would light the tires up at 65 mph for a couple dozen yards.

The cam came in around 3k and would pull to 6,400 rpm and over-rev to 7k where it was limited. If the engines 364 rwp at 6.400 would overcome the air drag it would see 187 mph if I found the road.

tevake 01-28-2013 06:23 AM

OK ^^ there you go, next question.:-)

Well done Jim!

We're screwed if the ladies are also hanging out on the plumber's forum.

Jim Bremner 01-28-2013 06:26 AM

I've changed the term "plunbers Crack" with my friends and family to a more upscale sounding "Man Cleavage"
