Anybody RX8 Shopping?

I have one too many cars and need to get rid of my RX8, I'll make a good deal for a Pelican. It's an immaculate, well maintained, no stories car, and I'm the second enthusiast owner. As I've posted before, these things are a ton of fun for the money and one of the few sports cars that can easily seat four adults. I'm only selling because I needed something that will carry my family, the RX8 is one seat short for carrying my family of five. Lots of pictures and a maintenance file available by email. I don't normally post my non-Porsche cars on Pelican, but this is a really good car that I would make someone a great deal on. 2005 model year, sport package, rare no sunroof, 6-speed manual, Konis, factory xenon, cloth/suede interior, Bluetooth and hands-free phone, and only 26k on it.

My wife is still more than somewhat bent about me not buying your Boxster.

I sold that Boxster to a coworker that adores it. I see it parked as far out in the parking lot as possible, and he has even rigged up side and rear sunshades with suction cups to protect it in the summer. It is absolutely his baby.

Does this help?

The pictures really don't do the color any justice, they were shot in the shade using a cheap camera. It's a really attractive metallic white with a light pearl effect, just enough to really make the color pop. After seeing one locally in that color, it was the only RX8 I was interested in.

Take a 944 in trade?

RX8 is on the short list of sports cars I would love to own.

Best of luck on the sale.

With a 911 torn apart in the garage and a Mustang waiting in storage, I don't think the wife would fancy another project right now.

Ironically other sports cars on my list are a Boxster, a 911 of some flavor, a 2000S, among others.

We are paying off our high interest credit card debt (almost there) so no new toys/projects for me for a year or two.

That RX sure looks like a bunch of fun (I was shopping for a RX7 when I bought my 944).

Sigh...

Dunno, but they are super comfy and supportive.

Hey, how come you're parked across the handicapped zone? You're not related to a couple other threads we've got running on PPOT right now, are you?

Beat me to it, that D-Bag needs two handicapped spaces.

Nice Car!
My father has an older RX7 and that 13B rotory revvvvvvs and has surprising torque for such a small motor.

It's definitely a different experience. I never felt the RX8 to be laggy at lower RPMs, it's a lightweight car so there is adequate torque. Smoothly revving to 9000 RPM is additive, and it makes cool noises. Pretty cool when you look at the size of the motor itself, it's about the size of a pony keg and sits very low and behind the front wheels for weight distribution purposes.

Just waiting for a set of dark wheels, and a rear-spoiler delete.

Thanks! We have a local PCA member that would be happy to refinish the wheels for you. As for the rear spoiler, I think it looks too plain without one.

I updated my first posting with my Craigslist ad, as my Ebay sale is complete. I'm down to $12,950 to get rid of it, right now it's taking up space in my garage that could be occupied by my Mustang project. I paid far more about one year ago, and it took me four months of looking to find one this nice. I am honestly shocked that I still have it.
