:eek::) It is certainly worth a read for you outdoor types - camping/hunting/driving in bear country.:

In a fighting(human) situation, information from that book probably saved my life or someone else's one night....highly recommended

:eek::) It is certainly worth a read for you outdoor types - camping/hunting/driving in bear country. I cannot understand the number of motorists who leave their cars and stand 20 yards from a grizzly to get a photo as I witnessed last summer near Jasper Alberta. Unbelievable.:eek:

I agree, but it is getting somewhat dated. People should read thru the recent research by Tom Smith, now at BYU.

God, I hope not, Randy. There is something really special about being out there with them, even if you don't see them. I've spent many, many a night on the ground, in a tent, in grizzly country. The air seems a little fresher, the birds sing a prettier song, the hills are just a bit greener...
