CA Is Set To Have A fairly Big One

The stage is now set for CA to have a fairly large Earth Quake. Say in or about the 6 range..maybe bigger? Can't tell if N or S CA, think S more likely. Tabs time and Geologic time don't quite line up...so say within the next few months....

GH85Carrera 01-31-2013 05:06 AM

They have been overdue for many years. Everyone knows it will happen, just not when.

Jim Richards 01-31-2013 05:06 AM

The stage is always set. Could be today, could be tomorrow, could be months or years away.

You might as well be predicting that the sun will rise someday. Or that it will rain.

Doom and gloom! Doom and gloom! The end is nigh!

Really tabs? An earthquake? That's the best your fatalistic mind can come up with? How about a North Korean nuclear ICBM or something a bit more specific?

I predict an earthquake will befall southern CA sometime in the next 100 years. And the Yellowstone caldera will erupt in the next million. What do I get if I'm right?

sammyg2 01-31-2013 05:30 AM

mag 6? that's not big by Ca standards.

But I agree, it is earthquake weather .............

onewhippedpuppy 01-31-2013 06:03 AM

In other news, I predict that Kansas will have a tornado this year. Carry on......

Jim Richards 01-31-2013 06:05 AM

It will be exceedingly hot in Houston this summer. You have been warmed.

Jferr006 01-31-2013 06:11 AM

yea unfortunately I think it is coming. You can imagine we shat ourselves here in VA last year(or the year before) when we had a pretty big one. We're close to a mountain range so I guess it makes sense, it just never happens.

Suppose you think it might be humid as well? Do not go out on a limb here...

vonsmog 01-31-2013 07:39 AM

2 years ago, it wasn't, by Houston standards. Of course, it was 104-105 for almost 3 months straight instead of 97-99.

varmint 01-31-2013 08:01 AM

let me know when the dogs-cats-homeless with plates in their heads start behaving weirdly.

Nostril Cheese 01-31-2013 08:26 AM

Tabs, you look like a guy who would have truly FOUL gas.

herr_oberst 01-31-2013 08:41 AM

Prediction: Hipsters will drink PBR in massive quantities this summer.

red-beard 01-31-2013 08:52 AM

PBR? Ugghhh!!!

herr_oberst 01-31-2013 09:04 AM

I know, Right? But that's the official do-it fluid of the Hip crowd. Go figure.
