Rick and I have met and I don't think Rick's got much going on there - some mid-aged beer boobs at best, so no updated avatar please! :)

Rick's avatar is the main reason I had to turn off the avatars and log myself in when reading the forum to keep it clean at work and home (and myself from getting distracted).

Too much negativity in PARF. Negative and aggressive feelings are not something I want to spend my spare time with. I am looking for inspiring and light conversation with people that are also gear-heads and technical minded. I don't need politics or religion. I already have my opinion there and need no further discussions.

Some of the people in the PARF pool have gas bubbles, if you know what I mean. Not the women! Heaven forbid, not our women! But there was this woman in the grocery store yesterday, and oy vey...

Pretty much sums it up, and why I welcomed the creation of PARF back in '08. PARF sorta reminds me of a fellow I worked with years ago...he just liked to "argue"...I swear, he would probably stand in front of Big Ben and argue that it was 12 noon 24x7, all the while knowing that ol' Ben wasn't gonna change :D

Anyplace that allows dialogue and examination of any and all topics is the absolute breeding ground for insight. PARF lacks a high degree of advocacy, which was evident when red-beard didn't become the POTUS. I'll read and comment on occasion, but it's not something I allow to consume much time.
