Wayne pays people to be trolls so as to bump up the participation in PARF. This in turn causes two things:
-Traffic to the website is increased as people come to laugh at childish name calling. While online, the spectators remember they need a gasket set and oil filter to do a valve adjustment on the old air-cooled. Profit.
-Those that don't visit PARF feel better about their ability to make sound decisions. Their self-confidence is bolstered and they are more willing to step out and attempt that engine rebuild they've been putting off. As such they make purchases for the vehicle from Pelican.
Profit.

Ignore feature, eh? I didn't realize there was one on here, good to know. No one has pissed me off enough yet for me want to be oblivious to their existence so that I can return the favor at some point in the fututre.

I have never used ignore because someone pissed me off. I don't get upset by stuff on PARF. And I know most of the main characters in person, as I travel a lot for work and often meet up with Pelican folk around the country. My ignore list is for the people who contribute nothing, are always belligerent (and still contribute nothing) or are outright trolls. I've even met some of the folks I later put on ignore. They may be nice in person, but their posts in PARF are argumentative for the sake of arguing without really adding anything to the discussion. But then there are a few I like to read just for the entertainment value.

You seem like a nice lady, but you have no idea at all how bad it can get. Doesn't happen often and the political arguments are nothing to get upset over. But a few times a year someone really steps out of line with threats of physical harm (I think one was really followed up on a ways back) or stuff that Wayne would not want to trip any gov't. data mining programs and draw attention here. I was even accused of wanting to assassinate the the POTUS a few years ago. I offered to put that person in touch with a Secret Service agent I knew, if he wanted to really go there. Thread got closed. It gets out of hand once in a while, but the regular political banter is nothing I consider particularly hateful or vitriolic.

I wondered how long it would take for this thread on PARF to get moved to PARF, or locked.

I'm staying away from parf for a while. If I show up over there it's prolly just to hit on Jferr or foxy. Because they are freekan hot, y'all.

I get way too out of line on parf. Usually I'm just trying to be funny... But then **** just gets real.

That's what I don't understand about Foxy, why she wastes her time, or doesn't just get bored as hell. From an objective viewpoint, no one even comes close to her in PARF in terms of intelligence and depth & breadth of knowledge. OK, Dottore, Seahawk, 70SATMan are close, but few and far between.
