Lusting for another "new" old motorcycle

The Honda Hawk GT as been on my radar for awhile. Found one that interests me. Seems to be a cult bike, but still very affordable and lots of parts availability. Anyone own one? Can probably pick this one up for $2400. Don't mind the seat cover he has on it. The seat underneath is in perfect condition.

Nice, I have thing for Honda Vs also. My "daily rider" is a '86 VFR. And I have been lusting after an SP2 (RC51) for ages.

I say go for it; it's a Honda.

If I get it I may just use it for a track bike. You can really bump the horsepower up on these bike fairly cheap.

Or I may just keep it as is.

That bike looks very clean. Would be a shame to relegate it to track duty. There are lots of bikes in that class that are far more plentiful for that application.

It appears you just need some encouragement to write the check. Go for it!

Not an opinion shared by most wives, unfortunately.

Yeah but there's just so much room in the kitchen.

I hear ya on the wife thing...mine has almost given up trying to resist. Boy will she be sorry when she does I have lots of space! Lol

The thing about buying an old bike or car is that they don't depreciate much if at all. If you get a good one that has some significance it is like putting cash in a safe...you can always sell the bike or car. Any loss is considered usage fee....

I asked Mrs. Noah just this past weekend if we could park the 888 in the family room. It didn't go over so well.

Ive always had a soft spot for the GB500. Those have got to be collector bikes by now.

They are with a price to match. Picture for those wondering what a GB500 is:

Wasn't the tank on the Hawk GT kind of small in capacity? It was on my list the last time I was bike shopping but I seem to remember it had a short trip range because of the tank.

3.1 gallons. But that will get you 140 miles or so. I tend to want to stop every 100 miles when I travel to stretch my legs so not a huge problem for me.
