If you listened to them new-fangled progressive FM stations in the late 60s/early 70s . . .

It has popped up now & again over the years.

Spent many a night listening to Dave Marsden, CHUM FM...Toronto

Rapewta 02-09-2013 02:33 PM

Someone mentioned "The Call."
They had a song on the CD "Into the Woods" named "In the River".
It should have been a top forty hit at the time.
Give it a listen.

Exactly the station I was referring to. Every other station on the air was stuck on the Top 40. North & south of the border. Chum FM played something different.

This song is great, I think that was their only hit, I may be wrong

Talking in your sleep was from 'In Heat". I don;t know if it got to #1 but it was close.

If you want to hear some of their good stuff, check out "Strictly Personal" from the 80's and" National Breakout" from 79 or 80 I think. "21 and Over" is one of my favorite songs. Very underrated bandm in my opinion. The drummer, Jimmy Marinos, had a big impact on my playing as he didn't have a big kit but played the crap out of what he had.

I'll check out the tips on the Romantics, thanks !

Here's one I heard yesterday and thought of this thread. This song has so much going for it, they must have other good stuff, but i've not heard it.
