I'm glad I got ahead of the mess last year...

Please support ammuntion to go, as they are a semi-local business. Good guys!

.40 and .223 are but a distant dream around here.

True here, a few miles east of you. About 6-9 months ago, I had a heck of a time coming up with 9mm and .45 at WalMart. I called every store in town, and finally found one with some stock. I bought everything they had which was half a dozen boxes of 9mm and even less of .45.

Stopped by the ammo case at my local WalMart the other day and it was even worse - basically empty.

Just placed my order.

Keep in mind ammo-to-go charges immediately and ships...sometime in the future. :( Keep an eye on luckygunner.com and freedommunitions.com.

Sorry Jim...these were the guys I cancelled from. Are you telling me they can't find people to pull and ship orders? They state on their website that they have the inventory...seems to me they'd lose quite a few sales.

???

Its says right on their website that they are running 3-4 weeks behind. But they have real time inventory, so if you order it, you will get your ammo eventually. I've got a box arriving wednesday, I ordered it about 20 days ago. Their communication has been excellent.

If waiting is a problem....then don't order.

Once again 4 years back I was wanting some "more" .22lr (and once again, dang you pelican lever teasers) so I'm in a Wallyworld and EUREKA, they'd just shelved a whole bunch of 500ct boxes. Dude in front of me bought every dang one :D. The "hoarders" and the hype have more to do with the barren shelves than anything imo. In that gentleman's defense, I think he was doing a "group buy" for a bunch of scouts, teens or something. I was almost gonna ask him to sell me a box until I heard him tell the cashier that...I just waited a few months on the .22 also. To be clear, I'm never "out" of anything...I just don't burn through it during times like this...YMMV.

Lots of .45 available on Calguns Ammo Marketplace right now.

Handloading and bullet casting reduces one's dependence during times like this. Granted, we still need primers and powder, but it is much cheaper to keep a good supply of these items on hand than it is to keep a large supply of commercially loaded ammo on hand. I simply grab a brick of some sort of primer, and a pound of some sort of powder any time I'm in a gun store (between the mass panic attacks). Never takes long to acquire a fair amount of both.

I just passed up four boxes of the mythical .223 at Walmart. I have trouble paying the same amount for 200 rounds as I did for 500 back in December.

I just wanted to follow up, and say that my package from Ammo To Go : Your one stop for all of your ammunition needs! got here today. It did take nearly 4 weeks to get, but thats was exactly in line with how long they said it would take. I'm a happy customer.

I bought some 25 rd. 10/22 mags from them a few weeks ago. I don't even have a 10/22 anymore, but figured I'll get another one and these would be a good investment to use with my trigger crank toy.

Thank you for the recommendation Rick.
