I had that exact colour combo on my Shelby Charger back in 94. Not near as nice as yours though. It was replaced by a black TurboZ Daytona...another fun hatchback!

It was a summer-only toy. I had another Shelby Charger (blue/silver '83 N/A) for winter duty... it was rough and had part of a stop sign for a rear floor pan on the passenger side... good times! :D

Also owned an '86 Laser XT Turbo with t-tops. Fun car.

There's one of mine, also have a 944, and a Tahoe. I love my hatches! :D

Porsche always wanted the 911 to be a hatchback, maybe realizing that lifting the rear window area would really make it easier to stow milady's luggage in their forthcoming GT car.

But that design feature did not make it into the production version (and I don't think it even made it into any of the prototypes.

But finally...

I would, too. These rigs have quite high resale prices.
Locally, $25k for a low-mile 2008. :(

The 2008 R32s didn't interest me at all. They were only offered with paddle-shifters. My 2004 was only offered with a 6-speed manual.

The new Golf R - also only offered with a manual - is interesting, but it is about $37k. I paid less than $28k for mine, admittedly awhile ago. I just can't justify spending that much $ on a VW. Not wild about the limited color choices either - I would prefer one in silver.

In fact, I will likely replace my R32 this summer (currently has 129k miles on it), & the Golf R isn't on the short list. I am thinking certified pre-owned BMW, either 335i, 135i or maybe even X3 (I know, they aren't offered with manuals). I would love a Cayman S, but don't want to spend that much.

I looked at BMW's SUVs & began reading about what to avoid, but eventually lost interest.
A new Cayman S in white, please. ;)

ps I like you're choice (R32).
