I bought it on iTunes (which sucks btw). I enjoyed the movie. IMO, the best of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. It's very very British, not Hollywood laden with special effects and ridiculous gadgets. Mostly great acting by Javier Bardem and Judy Densch. And I LOVE the hot bond girl. I want to find me on o' them half Cambodian/ French girls now! I thought Casino Royale sucked. Quantum of Solace was very good, but the script was dodgy. Skyfall was very well written, and Bardem is worth watching over and over. I also thought the development of the supporting characters is fantastic.

I can't wait to see the next Bond flick now. I hope Daniel Craig stars in the next one as well. I love what they did with the franchise with this latest installment.

I DLed it to an Apple laptop. As a lifelong PC guy, I am starting to like Apple, finally after about 5 months of adjusting. In fact, I love the MacBook Pro.

without spoiling the plot, I think in this case 007 is allowed to cry.

I did like the film, but the whole venture to his childhood home was a bit far fetched.

Beautifully filmed.

New Moneypenny is stunning.

yes, the fact that it was his childhood was farfetched. But I loved the place. I also just went with the whole family story. Very interesting dimension added to Bond, that's for sure. New Moneypenny kicks azz.

Definitely the best of the Daniel Craig bonds. Best Bond ever? Just might be. I've only seen it twice, so I don't think I can make that decision for myself, but it's definitely excellent.

Saw it at the theater, I think the best I can say is it was ok, just another Bond movie.

I have to say, the character depth was much better in this film. The relationship between the villan, M and Bond worked. The character of Sévérine was a bit of a throw away, but that short scene in the bar painted her character in pretty well. I can't say I'm impressed with the new Q.

I absolutely agree about the new Q. meh. Severine as a character was another in a long line of Bond throwaways. But the actress really took my breath away with her eyes. Another welcomed detail was the new office, especially the door. The dry delivery of conversation must have been directed, so constant as it was throughout the movie. As I say, it feels very very British. Loved the DB5 too.

I liked Skyfall, very much.
It was a bit different and I thought it was refreshing to have a more personal type of plot.
Good stuff and the soundtrack rocked too.

Noticed it was for sale in COSTCO yesterday. Didn't buy it.

For the love of God, Bond fails all his missions in this movie, that's a new low.
Supposed to catch the microchip, fails, get's shot by his aide
Supposed to protect M, fails
Supposed to be a secret agent, yet his childhood family friend adresses him with his code name, or is it because he has no code name?
The list of pathetic goofs is huge.

Daniel Craig as Bond has always bothered me. First off, in the first movie (Casio Royale), there was an issue since Craig, the actor, could not drive a stick shift car. REALLY? Bond can't drive a manual transmission? C'mon.

The fact that the rocket launcher in his car has been repalced with a defibulator is also pathetic. What's next? He's going to trade in his gun for a pair of Depends underwear? And he might as well exchange his martini for some metamusil. :rolleyes:

And in Skyfall when he is captured on that island and inferred that he may have had fling with another man -- well, that just closes the door on it for me.

Daniel Craig as Bond does not work for me. He simply can't hold a candle to Sean Connery.

I don't understand how some people called him the closest Bond to the novel when CR came out.

how the hell was he anywhere near the Bond novel is beyond me.
Fleming wrote Bond to be like him as the spy he wanted to be.
Fleming was a dandy.

Lazenby was a dandy, Craig is closer to "thug" then to "dandy".
there is not one scene in any Daniel Craig Bond movie where he looks remotely elegant enough to be a true James Bond..
He's to short, to muscular and his head looks like he's a bouncer in a night club, you can never get the idea of "pitbull" ready to bite out of the scene when he is in it.
And that's just not Bond like.

The franchise has hopelessly derailed, it's so far away from what Ian Fleming had in mind, it's a sad thing really.

James Bond would most likely look more like Daniel Craig than say....Pierce Brosnan or Roger Moore. Connery was great but one of the great aspects of Bond IMO is the resiliency of the story franchise. I personally like the evolution of the main characters.

The character "Kincade", the innkeeper when he first sees Bond says "James......Jaaaames Bond!" He was surprised to see him again. He does not refer to him as 007. The role was expertly done by Albert Finney, another actor that I always enjoy.

The new Bond girl, Berenice Lim Marlohe, absolutely captivated me. I will look forward to her in other movie roles.
