need a vanity top made what to use ?

I'm going to do a makeover in our master bath. I have already purchased a wood vanity base ( no particle board ) and have completed the staining and polyurethane finish. Soon I will need a vanity top. The vanity is 60 " wide and the sink has to be on the left due to the existing plumbing. So the wife and I have been looking at Corian, Silestone, cultured marble and most everything else available locally. Considering sinks that are cast in, undermount and drop in. The toilet will be light beige/bone color to match the existing one piece fiberglass tub/shower which is the same color. Vanity is Minwax " honey " which is a fairly dark oak/mahogany look so want to keep the top a little lighter so it's not too busy. Any suggestions on what to use ? And any suggestions on who to use in the Marietta/Atlanta area ?

Did you consider two sinks. More convenient and more appealing if you sell. You can't go wrong with granite and as long as you stay away from wild patterns it is timeless.

The vanity we purchased has drawers in the center so running the drain line from a sink on the right would be a pain in the butt. And we ( wife ) prefer the additional counter space a single sink provides. And not concerned about reselling this is my last house. Thanks for the feedback.

You can run the plumbing in the wall, so hooking up a second sink would be easy. I can't imagine sharing a sink with my wife, two sinks are a must for us.

Go with natural stone, granite or marble. Marble is usually my preference for a bathroom. Fake stone isn't as nice and is often just as expensive.

The wife is retired but I'm still working there is no battle for sink space, plus we have two other bath's in the house. But you do have me thinking of a different way to go. I was thinking I had to run the plumbing from a future sink on the right over to the existing plumbing. Never thought of running it straight down into the basement and hook up there. We will see. Thanks

You can also just pull the sheetrock off the wall and tie the two sinks together there. No need to run the second sink plumbing all the way to the basement.

I love silestone, my inlaws have it, more so than our granite. Corian.... Ehh.
Pretty sure the Inlaws bathroom silestone is one piece top and bowl.

Over the years we have used Corian, granite and quartz for countertops. We preferred the quartz but YMMV.

The better half and I discussed the one sink vs. two today and she decided one sink she'd rather have the counter space. Fine by me it's easier to install. We also picked out tile for the floor so the only thing left to do is decide/order the vanity top. I'm a fan of Corian only because I sold it back in the early 80's, I know it's too plain jane for many folks. Heck I'm putting Corian in our RV but that's mainly because I got a killer deal buying used. Ultimately the better half will make the decision and I'm fine with that.
