'66 GT40 Mk II - incredible photos

Keep clicking the arrows to the right to see more... rawness and beauty... this took my breath away.

That is a thing of beauty, particularly w the patina and originality.

Did you see the thread I started on "interesting guy?" There is a very direct tie-in to this car.

Just read it... very cool stuff. I had heard about the Shelby vs. Ferrari film, but can't remember where... do you know if its release date (or title) has been announced?

Very cool. I really appreciated the close up of the Holman & Moody tag, from right here in little old Charlotte, NC.

FYI, we had a very period correct GT40 tribute car come to last month's Cars and Cappuccino gathering. Had all the right logos and lettering from the mid-60's era GT40's. It was both impressive and extremely loud.

Very, very cool, and I'm by no means a Ford guy.

We have a long tailed sister of this car that shows up occasionally at our Exotics at Redmond Town Center event. Guy drives the damn thing to the event, right through downtown, open headers and all. It's glorious.

Wow, amazing pics. I'll be going full screen and figuring out how to save those for sure, whether I can snag them from my cache or just take a screenshot.

The GT40 is one of my all-time favs, right up there with the 917k

917 and GT 40 are the pinnacle of sports car racing engineering, if you ask

OK, snagging all of the files was super easy. Sotheby's has it set where right click doesn't work, but when you hit the page, (at least with Firefox) you hit -s and that saves the page that you're on including, at least in this case, all of the photos which are all 1920x1440 which are just about perfect for desktop wallpaper.

Now I need to see what other interesting cars they are going to auction.

I worked a little on the film. Projected release of June 28th next year. It started out as "LeMans 66" as the working title but now it's Ford Vs. Ferrari.

Yep, I'm going through all of the "Lots" in the "Results." I'm loving the high quality, pro level shots of all of these cars including interesting details.

I can't wait for the movie to come out!

This is another one of their auctions, but it's a weird one with some really odd cars like crappy American cars from the 70s and 80s, but also some slightly interesting cars that didn't go for a lot of money.
