A Book You Will Most Likely Never Own...

Unless you have a carriage or wagon you want to repaint...

Then again, it prolly sold more than any of my books combined!

For other interesting titles, check out this site: Books& Publications

Still looking for an early edition of Mein Kampf without all the later PC editing.

I bet I know who bought a copy of your book as we bought several restored wagons from a guy who restores them. (Worked at a dude ranch for many years).

Also, know a good wainwright? It's the hardest part of wagon repair IMO.

That is cool. Would love to see the contents as I think the Model T's were brush painted with nitro-cellulose lacquer and then hand sanded/polished smooth.

In the way back I was performing a basic financial audit at a company in Williamsport, PA. In the vault with all the blue line paper transaction printouts was an old ledger from the early 1900's containing monthly accruals for $2.50 for horse and buggy repair.

Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood knew a thing or two about painting a wagon.

My basic rule is to never buy a book whose author's photo is on the cover.

There was a company named Lindsay Publications with a vast amount of reprint mechanical, electrical and the strange books. The mail order catalogs from the company were worth the humor alone and the offerings were fascinating. Just checked and supposably sold out to this place.

New challenge: Come up with a more bizarre book cover than the above.
