More amazing than the cars is that folks will get up at 5:00 A.M. for a car show...
After all, Southern Cal is still the car capitol of the planet...

Awesome pics! Especially love the 63 split and the white Dino. Never seen one in white. Lovely car!
Get there early, people start bouncing out by around 7:30ish. p.s. - your family is beautiful! angela

Thanks for the post 126Coupe, Can never get too much of the cars and coffee pics.
Can see that you rolled up in style, in the gullwing :-) The door trey and drive in set up are a hoot. Is that a Porsche engine in the Karmin Gia? Nice fab of the tins surrounding. This may happen early in the morning, but is totally worth the effort. I get there on most visits to SoCal. Cheers Richard |

The '63 'vette is amazing...it's hard to believe there was ever a car that beautiful and that it was American.

Richard -- Karmann Ghia -- I think it's a VW Type IV engine with a FAT Engineering fan shroud. Very sano.

Now in 993 land ...

There should be a sticky here on OT for C&C so people can post their pictures for spectators that aren't senile insomaniacs. I finally went there last year, after living in LA for 5+. The early morning business is totally crazy IMHO. I mean, we are not talking 9am - at that time it will be over.
At any rate, if you are in the area, you have to have been there once at least. If you have a nice car to take, even better! Thanks for sharing! G |

Thanks Genrex for the spelling help, Knew it didn't look quite right but, I got lazy there.
The lay out of the engine did look like a VW , but I hadn't heard of the fan and shroud for VW. It looks good but the low down that I uncovered in checking it out is that the cooling is uneven with that shroud. Bummer, it does look cool. Cheers Richard |

Hi Richard, yes that's what I heard too, and it's a darn shame. Probably the reason it never became popular. Just razzin' ya about the spelling, bro.

For me a big part of the fun there is the stories. The owner's about finding the car, why they have the cars they do have. The history of the particular car or design.
I always come away having had an exchange or two that leave me smiling, as well as having seen some really unexpected rides. Some favorites for past visits ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pardon if you have seen before. Its all over the place, you just never know what you will see.
