I love second hand smoke. I wish I could make it into an aerosol and spray it on me. Too much is bad, but sitting outdoors and catching a whiff now and then feels great and it's great training for me to stay a quitter.

I've been to places where it's really unbearable, where you can barely see your hand in front of your face. But a little whiff now and then is fine. I can't remember the last time I was around someone who really stunk of cigarettes other than at social events. Is it really that common a problem? When I smoked, I didn't catch one before I walked into a client meeting.

Lot of ignorant, self righteous comments here.

Don't hold back now, how do you really feel? Do you make these same impassioned arguments when it comes to body spray, diesel exhaust, perfume, BO, etc.. If not, I think you have larger issues than an odor of burning leaves.

I encounter far more horrible old lady perfume than I do cigarette smoke. Smokers are an easy target. No one is gonna make a face at an old lady or say, "How did you ever think that made you smell better?" And don't even get me started on European hygiene. Smoking is far from the most offensive odor you'll come across in a public place there.
