$8400 bottle of Cognac

Wow.......saw this in a store the other day.........750ml = 25 fluid ounces

That's $335 an ounce..........one expensive shot for sure. I'd like a $10 sample tho'.

Apropos of nothing, did anyone see that "30-30" on ESPN where they showed all those million - dollar athletes that are now broke?

I am hardly a connoiseur of liquors, but I fail to see how a bottle of alcohol could ever cost that much.

Philistine!

Fine cognac should only be mixed with PEPSI!

Coca Cola?

Or blow?

One seems a little cheap to mix with an $8500 bottle of liquor.

Yes, it was hilarious. I especially liked Andre Rison, "you gotta be 'drippin' in diamonds."

My BIL from Tennessee did that when I offered him some 20 y/o single malt I had brought back from Scotland.

I think it's idiotic.

The only reason someone would buy something like that is to show off their wealth.
Trying to make themselves "appear" better than others.

( my opinion of course )... ( and I'm not afraid to post it )

That's painful. I would've swiped the glass out from under the soda before he poured it, downed it, poured some Jack Daniels in it, set it in front of him and nodded my head with a stern look on my face.

Yep. That'd be the last drink he ever got from my 'special' cabinet. "Your booze is in the fridge bub."

Was that Cognac at Costco?
I've seen some VERY expensive liquor at our local stores lately.

Wholesale on this bottle is approximately $5000 from the distributor. The supplier that sells it to them in the "three tier" system has between 15 and 24 points in it as well, so the original price from the producer is probably somewhere between $3800 and $4250.

It is an unblended eaux de vie cognac and based on rarity alone cannot be shopped against a competitor for price comparison.

Supply and demand....
