iPhone 100%
Since the latest up date of iOS, my 4GS iPhone has 100% battery. I take it off the charger, I take phone calls, leave it off the charger, and it still is 100% battery.
Anyone else seeing this? |
Cool. a battery that never discharges :)
My iPhone 5 works fine on the latest OS. No issues with it. I guess I got lucky. |
1 hour later, I'm at 99%
Mine did this once and then, blam, I tried to "wake it" and it was deader than a doornail. I have a feeling that if you restart it, it will show the actual battery charge.
I rebooted it and no change. I'll "recalibrate" it by fully discharging it and recharging it.
Huh.... My 4S has had terrible battery life after the last update....
This is of great interest to me because my POS Droid Razr Maxx hasn't worked completely in the entire year or so that I've owned it.
My 4GS goes for days. It does seem the rate of discharge increases ad the phone discharges.

I read that some iPhones are seeing decreased battery life with the latest iOS version. There's a thread on Apple's discussion forums.
That happens occasionally with updates.... They code something wrong and it keeps polling signal or running some process that munches through battery. Id expect another update soon....
now 82%. I definitely think the calibration is off. Again, I'm going to drain it dead and then recharge.

Exchange issues have been the major cause of battery problems. I had it with a recent one. SOP for some (now me) is to remove your exchange account before or after you update, then add it back after running the update. That often will prevent or fix a problem, and cured my battery death issue the one time it happened to me. No issues with the last one though and I didn't remove beforehand. THere are a lot of variables involved with battery life - types of email accounts, how you have them configured, if you're streaming media, etc.
No issues with my 4S with all the latest updates.
Well, I ran it down until it turned off and then recharged. Still doing it.
One site says you need to let it sit uncharged for 8 hours before recharging. |
try this, click the lower button twice quickly and a small window opens up at the bottom of the screen. Then press and hold a icon till the (-) sign appears above the icon and they start to wiggle. Then press again to remove them (it closes them). this help save battery life by closing apps that are running in the background.
Lowering the screen brightness to about 75% helps save battery life too. Works especially well on the iPad.
I guess you're not getting it. The battery LIFE is fine, the battery calibration is off. It reads 100% for a good hour off the charger.
well, i do all the tricks and mine lasts 3-4 days without charging (I4, 3 years old), always hook it up around 50%. So your saying it stays at 100% for an hour or two? i'm at 94% after 6 hours off charger, talking on Skype and taking 2 calls, getting email (and deleting it) I think your ok, try to see how long it lasts till it's down to 10% ooops, already did that, but, how long did it last not on the charger?
