Triumph has some great 3 cylinder motorbikes, and Yamaha is rumored to be changing its inline 4 sportbikes over to inline 3s. They might be onto something.

I think Ford is coming out with a turbo 3 cylinder engine for the Fiesta next year.

while not a car, I think the Kawasaki Mule 2510 had a 3 cylinder diesel. Nice running machine.

Supposedly the 2014 Mini is getting the BMW-designed three-cylinder. Not at all sure how I feel about that.
