Reloading bench DIY
I'm planning to build a table. I've done on line searches and found some ideas. But what have you guys learned about them? Any tips? What features would you suggest I build in?

Decide if you'll stand or sit.
A couple of people have said I'm a stand up guy. What's it like buying components these days? You don't want to know how much primers and powder were the last time I bought some. Jim

I bought a steel frame from Menard's, reinforced it in the center, put a 2' x 8' x 1" sheet of HDF on top, and topped that with two 2' x 4' 16 gauge sheets of steel, which I epoxied to the HDF and used an epoxy appliance paint on top. The spots where the presses are mounted are reinforced with steel plate on the bottom.
![]() I highly recommend getting an Inline Fabrication mount for the press if you cannot get a sturdy bench built. I have had that press pull bolts with nuts attached through a 2" x 12". Inline Fabrication Ultramount Lee Load Master Progressive Press

Reloading bench
This was my solution. Existing heavy workbench with place for missing drawer. I made an insert out of 3/4" plywood that will slide into the drawer slot. When I want to reload, I pull the slide out, bolt down the press and reload. When done, remove the press and push the slide in out of the way! Some pics.
![]() ![]() ![]() The workbench is made of solid hardwood and weighs about 400 lbs so it is heavy and stable enough to take the load from working the press, even resizing rifle brass. Works like a charm!

Mine is all cabinets, shelves, drawers and countertop. You will want storage near it or as part of it. Cheap kitchen cabinets with counter top works well for me..
