buddy system. For instance Dueller Jim has not been heard from for a while.
I hope that he is okay? Some of us are getting up there in age and I think that if a person became ill then their buddy should have a ph. number they can contact the ailing individual or relatives to check on his/her status. I am just throwing this out there.

Seems a fair amount of members are friends off the board and do check in on each other.

The thought is nice but I personally think enough of my life is visible here, at least as much as I want public so I really don't encourage being watched anymore than the government is already doing. :D

Yup, we all pretty well check on each other. I've been know to call guys to make sure they are alive...

Rob911 absent a while too. But we can assume that all of us have people in our real lives to help cover the bases, right?

Sure, I think most of us do in "meatspace".

However, if I fell off the map you guys might (I said MIGHT) notice my absence but you would never find out why. I can pretty much guarantee my "people" wouldn't give a rip about updating my various cyberspace communities about my status.

I'm sure I'm not on that list.

The only person that calls me is Joe Bob and he always wants something. ;) :)

I think we could have an Info Central person, like they have in many families and in meetup groups... a person who has shown that they are mature and trustworthy, and also not so busy with life that they are away from the forum for days at a time. The latter criteria rules out the moderators of this forum, and even many of the regulars here.

I nominate Laneco and Sidney to be our co-Info Central people. :)
