Transporting guns across country?

If your moving that means you will have boxes, containers, etc. in a trailer/moving van that is separate from the vehicle compartment. Just place them in the trailer/moving van and forget about it. All states really inquire about is transporting fruit. I know a "guy" who did this with many more than your transporting during your relocation. It looks like you will be traveling through gun friendly states except one. Just avoid traveling though Illinois since lawful gun ownership is not permitted there.

You don't need guns for hunting deer in Ohio, just wait until a rainy, foggy morning (or evening), in low light conditions, and go for a cruise on the county roads......they'll find you !
