SF has a great stadium with very good fans. Truly a "must see" for baseball fans. Did you get any pics? And Putz tried to give it away. That's prob 4 games that starters pitched very well that the bullpen has lost. |
Innocent until proven guilty.
;-) like to think so, but hard to believe with how things have been re peds, etc. it just was an innocent jab. I am a baseball fan period. Yes some good pics will post later. I was impressed how the fans were still really in the game even being 4 down late in the game. I could not see the same comming from other teams fans. |
And not sure I would have sent Sandoval that late with the game on the line that, but I like aggressive ball

Rector is very close to you and Carlsen is a but further down the Peninsula. I'm in the North Bay a few miles from Sonnen Porsche. Looks like Carlsen has a '07 GT3 that you may want to see if you can take a test drive out to Half Moon Bay :D Best to PM me if you free up some time... |
"I" did my first Angel game....life long Dodger guy. Angels jumped out early to a 4 run lead......then the staring pitcher ran outta gas.
EDIT: My Dadz just corrected me (Shut up Sid)......it seems I was a regular at the Angels games when they still in the PCL minor leagues....before moving to Spokane. Of course I was crapping my didees at the time....well, not long from now, I'll be likely repeating that.... Gave up three and Mike Scioscia left Vargas in too long....they lost 5-4..... The crowd lustily booed A.J. Pierzynski....he waved to the crowd and seemed to enjoy it. Jack in the Box is the food provider, crappy food with higher than haute cuisine prices....$3.50 for a taco? Bite me..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1366844115.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1366844170.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1366844176.jpg |

Joe you crack me up. Not sure how to post my pics from an I phone but took some nice ones too.
Looks like I may b headed to the wharf tonight. |
Send them to me....I'll post them. See the PM for my email.
BTW....the DH sucks.....go National League....the rows around me were die hard BoSox fans. They were visitors from CT. They can't stand the Yankees.....works for me. |
Hey joe. Email sent.
Did u by chance get to see j Hamilton take BP? |
AS you noticed...the pics were during BP.
Got there at 5PM, start time 7PM....back in the day my Dadz (shut up Sid) always got us to Chavez Ravine by the 1-2 inning...always irked me......but WTF.....I was there, no complaints. Anyways, for some reason the batting practice they all came with warm ups and no numbers.....it's freaking 70 degrees.....wankers.....no idea who was who...... I DID see a HR at the extreme corner of the straight away fence with a glove miss of a few inches and an other blast to left center that landed in the fake babbling brook that resembled the POS I had in the back of my house in Santa Barbara. |

Scoma's is all right
I like this place for the dough, never had a bad meal there, and I have eaten there a lot. Home Cliff House is nice at sunset, sutro baths, presidio, marin headlands, I can think of a lot of places to go. Botanical Gardens in GG Park is a pretty nice place for a picnic, on Sundays, they close a lot of the roads in the park, nice to rent a bike and go for a ride |
Interesting coincidence, jcc... or are you gonna be putting some Giants memorabilia on ebay next week?
________________________________________ Barry Bonds commemorative plaque missing from Giants' ballpark By Chuck Schilken - April 24, 2013, 12:34 p.m. Barry Bonds' home run record has been removed ... not from the record books, like many people have wished, but from the walls of the San Francisco Giants' ballpark in San Francisco. The commemorative plaque honoring Bonds' record-setting 756th home run has disappeared from the right-center brick facade in AT&T Park, where it has hung since the start of the 2008 season. No one seems to know exactly what happened to it. Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said Tuesday night that the team is conducting an investigation as to where the hardware may be. “We're not sure what happened," she said. "We're reviewing video, but haven't found anything yet.” It kind of makes sense that a huge fan would love something like a large shield marking a historic moment in team history as a personal souvenir. Or that some huge Bonds detractor would take it upon himself to rid the stadium of that reminder of a milestone allegedly tainted by performance enhancing drugs (which Bonds has denied ever knowingly using). :::snip::: Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle, who broke the news of the missing hardware, has another theory. He feels the Giants are trying to erase the memory of the controversial slugger, citing the facts that they have yet to retire his number or add him to their wall of fame. But there's still a very visible glue outline of the shield on the wall beneath the flag court area of the park. You'd think if they were trying to remove Bonds from fans' memories, George Orwell-style, they would have scrubbed those bricks down a little better. Plaque? What plaque? We have no idea what you're talking about. More: Barry Bonds commemorative plaque missing from Giants' ballpark - latimes.com |
