Tough first (and last) day on the job.

Worst First Day Ever?

Love his expression when he realizes he's on the air.

Moron. Can't say I feel sorry. If you are around cameras, you better assume you are live at any time. Politicians do the same thing around microphones.

Being in a top 5? TV market, I am sometimes shocked by the amateurs on tv in smaller towns. Some high school put on better productions. How did this guy get hired in the first place?

Hope he doesn't have too many student loans.

Better to find out now that he sucks at tv. Now he can go on to something with a real future, like selling used cars.

I see the Affirmative Action bug has hit the desolate regions of Williston, North Dakota now too.
Where'd all the Caucasian Americans go?

Very funny. He may need some more time to get comfortable on camera.

Not the first time something unexpected has happened to an anchor on the air.

I'll just leave this right here:

scroll down to section titled mishap...

Yup, I'm in DC, and we have folks with a lot of grey around the temples. When I travel, it's interesting to see the "farm teams".

That poor fellow learned a tough lesson early. I hope someone takes kindly and gives him a second chance.

They should be taught that once you're mic'd, no more cursing. Whether it's middle school, HS, college or at the professional level.

I've worked in news...I've seen rookies and veterans. They all say the same thing. You make it a habit not to curse in the studio.

As a side note, Kyra Philips was not at fault. That's the audio's mistake for not muting her mic...If there was anyone I'd yell at, it would be audio.
