Prom Night - Handsome Boy, Pretty Girl and a Cabriolet
A million times you've heard the saying, "they grow up so fast..." This is our youngest, Ryan, with his girlfriend Sara, heading to the Senior prom, in Steve's cabby. Ryan's sunburn is from "running errands" for the entire day with the top down. Turns out a 911 cabriolet is addictive - who knew?
Sara has on 5.5" heels - puts her more on level with Ryan who is 6'5. Also, for you moms who are reading this - he is NOT wearing those shoes to the prom. He was afraid to drive in the dress shoes (good decision). These two have been dating for about a year, and both are headed to college next year. Hope they have a wonderful, magical evening. Love 'em both. angela ![]() ![]()

Cute couple.
Glad you said something about those shoes. ![]() Speaking of shoes, those are some scary heels! Wish them a fun & safe night...and you a restful night. . Your neighbor's lawn needs attention, I see. ![]()

Yeah, the neighbor's lawn is high, but so is ours. Ryan was supposed to mow the lawn today, but apparently once he got driving the cabby around, he forgot which direction was home - LOL!
Troy - this nice warm day should also have a lovely warm evening with a nearly full moon. Should be a great evening for them both. angela

Very nice photos of some fine looking young people! I'm also thrilled to hear that you can get sunburned in Oregon, did not know this.
![]() These photos remind me of the prom I attended in my dad's V-12 XKE roadster. I have a photo somewhere of that night, I'll try to dig it up.

Very cool, congrats. This was my prom car, not nearly as cool as the 911.

OH those modern kids. Wearing a tux with Vans. Or whatever they are.
But I honestly think that whoever is looking at these pics 20 years from now is going to see a really handsome couple. But 'bout those shoes... |

Now I know why you reinstated the insurance! Looks good, I'm sure he'll appreciate driving a special vehicle on a special night.

Hey Brian - how you doin'?
Yeah, Ryan gets to drive it tonight, but then it's back to the 240sx for him. You know he burned over half a tank of gas on this running around today? For heaven's sake! Steve on the other hand is going to greatly enjoy it for the next few months! We pulled it out of storage the day I called to re-up the insurance. The battery was acting a bit flaky and Steve ran it over to Batteries Plus. The warranty on the Odyssey battery had expired in January but they covered it anyway because the car had been in storage. Sure pays to buy local - that Odyssey is an expensive battery... angela

I thought about letting my 16 year old use my 84 next year for prom. I've got a year to make sure he masters the 915. He's a good driver, but its not his Nissan frontier 5 speed.

You guys all got to drive fun cars to prom...I had to make do with a 2000 Honda Accord.
Oh well, the car wasn't the important part of the night anyway... ![]() |
