concrete densifier for garage/shop floor

Epoxy, commercial polishing, and racedeck tiles are not an option right now. I'll do a more permanent flooring solution later after I get my 914 running & driving. For now, I just want to do something easy to the floor to reduce the dust and make it a little easier to work on. Has anyone ever used a concrete densifier to treat a garage floor, or shop? Did it do a decent job of reducing concrete dust?

This does not address the concrete densifier but I am currently removing the asbestos tile in the basement of our house and have put a concrete skimcoat on. To the concrete mix I have added a bonding agent. Now I am painting on a basement paint which should eliminate any dust coming through. I do not know which part of the world you live in and if you have basements in your houses or not but I have found these paints very successful at preventing the concrete dust coming through.

I have not treated the concrete in my garage with anything. I mop the floor (it is fairly smooth) once/ month or so. There is very little dust in the garage. I know this doesn't make the floor easier to work on. I have an assortment of thin cushions that I spread out where I'll be kneeling.

I mop the floor with some cheap lavender scented stuff called "Fabuloso" from the dollar store. It puts a bit of a shine on the floor and smells good

From what I've read over on The Garage Journal Board, it penetrates and hardens the top of the concrete and adds some waterproofing. I am going to use this on my new cave.

Yep, I bought a gallon of the same stuff yesterday. I only have a ~440 sqft (2) car garage to treat.

I just painted my garage floor with a light colored epoxy garage floor paint. I'm not interested in the showroom look, but in chemical resistance, ease of cleaning, & being able to see things I drop better. I put two kits on my 800 sf floor. I'm happy.

If you ever decide to go w/ an epoxy you will need to completely remove that densifer in order to get a good mechanical bond.

How about this:

Masonry Waterproofer - Thompson

Treated the outside pavers with it last year.
