Unusual car things that happened this week
I was going to my buddies place a couple of days ago in the 930 and was following a 944, by the look of things, it was well set up
![]() Also picked up a free Craftsman/Honda mower, never been dropped and only been on fire once, they tried to fix it but had the carb mounted wrong, fixed that and took off the burnt filter housing, new gas and 1 pull and I've got the mower I was needing. That's a bit off topic from the car stuff but I'm on a roll here. I should buy a lotto ticket. Finn

The weather finally turned nice.
I saw some cool cars yesterday as well. I know my SC is no match for most cars so I don't mess with them. It is cool though when another car guy goes out of HIS way to check out the car. We were in an affluent county/city yesteday where, like CA, expensive cars are the norm. My SC got plenty of looks and thumbs up, which is pretty cool. We saw R8s, a couple of Ferraris(360/430 style), older British sportscars, and Porsches, mostly new stuff. We did run across 1 douchebag(in my opinion) in a Mustang Cobra convertible. We were both leaving Menards and the Mustang guy was behind me to turn right onto the main road. Now, I know his car is much faster so I just made my turn and gently accelerated. I kept an eye on him in the mirrors, waiting for the chance to give him a "car guy" nod if he passed. He hammered it and came up on my left, I looked over and gave him a thumbs up. He responded by revving the snot out of his engine and going past. Yeah, you ARE cool except that your balda$$ head is getting sunburned, genius. ![]() That being said, I think this guy is probablya DB no matter what he drives. Oh, and MY push mower fired on the first pull of the season. The riding mower gets it's turn today.

I've sort of got the SC out of hibernation too. I not so much as fell out of love with it, but I put the Carrera 2 style 17" wheels on it with new tires that really fill out the wheel arches and I'm like a school boy in love again. I need to pass the government vechile inspection thing we have going on around here, but that is no big challenge and I've been driving it around quite a lot anyway.
No thumbs up though. |

At least you had good wierd stuff. I had the starter bolts fall out of the Cobra replica yesterday. Bolted it back up and the whole thing went dead electrically.
