WHEN WILL THE UN put down laws on procreation!

Hello.
I realize that this is a huge fundamental topic.
I do not wish to go into how excess of living standards are the norm now.
I wish to focus on Population.
My question is and has been for years, when will the Goverments acknowledge that there is a problem. An obvious problem.

WHEN DO YOU THINK THE GOVERMENTS OF THE WORLD will finally put in laws such as other countries to limit your offspring numbers.
I see today, other countymen so to speak /women having five six babies entering this country -Canada and Im sure they have never seen so much consumption that is easily available.
It really bothers me.
I am waiting for the day when Goverments stand up and put laws in order that have to do with procreation.
It appears to me that almost every country is so afraid to deal with the planets fundamental problem.
WHY?

A country needs greater than 2.8 baby's per couple in order to grow $$$ There's never been a country with a low birthrate that has grown$$$

This is why we're getting Amnesty for Illegal aliens shoved down our throat.

People hate facts and governments hate facts and people who believe in them.

Believe me... you don't want the United Nations to begin prescribing "laws" for ANYTHING about your life.

Unless you're one of those crackpots who really digs that whole One World Government idea.

Seriously, think about it. What if they did have the authority to force their will on you and your family?

1. You will buy only the cars we say you can.
2. You will buy only the foods we say you can.
3. You will line up and be innoculated when we tell you to.
4. You will keep your thermostat and water heater set where we tell you to.
5. You will not mow your lawn more often than we say you can, and only with a battery powered mower.
6. You will only drive the prescribed number of miles per year we allow.
7. You will only use as many gallons of water per month that we allow.

There would be no end to it. It's already headed in that direction now.

They already tell you what kind of light bulb to put in your house, so its coming.

Such laws wouldn't ever be needed if every human were intelligent enough to realize that having 8 children isn't such a good idea. If people were educated... they'd regulate themselves.

But since we won't seemingly ever reach that level of average intelligence quotient in my lifetime... well...

What do you think will happen to world population in the future? Have you looked at the forecasts? Is there a reason why you think there is a problem here?

dennis in se pa 05-12-2013 04:15 AM

We are already seeing the consequences of over population in our larger cities. Most of the ills we experience as a society are the result of the unnatural situation of people living too close together. But this situation is good for the military/industrial machine. So it will be encouraged and even subsidized.

exc911ence 05-12-2013 04:29 AM

China had a law in place for years limiting couples to just one child. This has recently been lifted.

Buckterrier 05-12-2013 04:44 AM

Anyone who thinks the planet isn't over populated come drive with me on I-95 here in Ct. 23 mile delays in the middle of the afternoon. The same with a whole bunch of other cities.
Yet we glorify over population with the likes of reality shows with adults having 8, 10, 12 friggin, (as Odduck1 says), spawn.

No it hasn't. There have been minor modifications and those with $ can get around it but it is still very much in effect.

Anyhow I agree with the OP. Having a child should be a privilege, not a right.
Go see the movie Idiocracy by Mike Judge. That's what we're headed for.

john70t 05-12-2013 05:34 AM

Seperate issues I think.

Involves a fundamental of capitalism, planned inflation to stimulate activity(actually does the opposite), global spread of USDs into other expanding markets, and ultimately the Feds ability to manipulate the domestic market.

Involves unions, workers rights, legacy medical/insurance/legal costs, rising global competition of exports, retaining transnational corps in atmosphere of porous borders, and ultimately control by the 1%ers.

Was that first post supposed to be in GREEN?

I'm guessing that Mike had been drinking when he typed it.

You do realize that it's a small step from "only X number of kids" to "you're too stupid/ugly/genetically inadequate to reproduce".

This is a HORRIBLE idea.

Porsche-O-Phile 05-12-2013 07:14 AM

How would you enforce this? Forced abortions? What exactly? Big problem. Maybe not a bad idea in theory but impossible to implement without really draconian and evil measures.

I wish there were a test prior to people being allowed to procreate but unfortunately biology doesn't exactly lend itself to that or work that way.

Cut off the money/aid/"free" food/"free" healthcare and other incentives for the least capable to keep squatting out their screaming brats and the problem will fix itself pretty quickly, the problem is we've become conditioned by PC liberal "progressivism" to be too squeamish about it so we're in the mess we're in - where the poorest, least capable and least motivated outbreed the responsible and capable people by about 100:1.

Guessing everyone on the planet will be sterilized at birth and have to go through a approval process for in-vitro fertilization later in life.

What would happen to the People of Walmart website then? ;)

Hawktel 05-12-2013 08:22 AM

Pretty simple to solve. Buy everyone in the developing countries a TV. Worked great for minimizing the industrial nations population growth.

Only if they're poor.

ckelly78z 05-12-2013 12:39 PM

Some 20something idiot I work with has three young children, from three young girls (all legal, but barely), and he is not with any of them, but forced to pay child support to all of them. I don't think some people are capable of learing to "regulate" themselves when the small head does all the thinking.
