Name three things you look forward...
to this year.
I'll start... Doing day hikes with my wife around Jasper. My yearly backcountry backpacking trip in the Jasper area. Returning to Arizona/California this winter for a longer stay. And you? |
THe end of my work week, two weeks on the Amazon river, hanging out with my wife.
|
-Drinking and playing cards with good friends while camping.
-My daughter and her boyfriend moving out of my house next month. -Track days and other motorsports events |
What a timely question. I had a friend ask me that just two days ago. I have an ongoing "life list" so I am just trying to get some of it done.
- get scuba certified - learn how to make creme brûlée. (That has been on my list for five years). - get back into the water and surf. - get a longboard skateboard so I can take long rides with my boys in the evenings. - taking the boys to Disneyland to see Cars-land |
Wednesdays.
Track days. Seeing my family and friends. |
Finding work.
Finding work. Finding work. |
food,
getting back in shape so I can hang with the hot local road racer on their training ride. This one will take a while. Take my little kids for an out of the country long vacation. They are too young for stuff like that. |
1) My wife and her sister finishing the disposition of their parents estate and my wife being home and not in san jose 50+% of the time.
2) Getting my rally car finished from the "off" we had last year and at least a couple races in this year. 3) Winning a contract my company has worked on for 3 years, thus securing the next 6 years of my career. |
Long Hood Fridays.
Saturday. Sunday. |
My sons college graduation.
Dive trip with my family. An endless string of barbecues with my family and friends. |
March 14th.
Finding Work. seeing my sons. |

1. My wife graduating in June

I have a kid coming this summer. I think that qualifies for #1, 2, & 3 for me. |
I look forward to departing Bagram [BAF] Afghanistan in June [after 5 months here]
Getting my 80 SC back on the road - after way too long in the garage seeing my family again |
Kim Langley. THANK YOU!
Any Good thing about Astain? |
Hard to limit it to just three.
I look forward to waking up every morning with my wonderful wife of almost 37 years. I look forward to doing my gigs in town a couple of evenings each month. It's great fun to go through the play lists to try to build the feel of the show (I'm only the background music, but I have fun). It is maybe even better to get together and jam with friends, but that is more spur of the moment. Going to work in the summertime. I work as a Heritage Interpreter at a tidal power plant and get to talk to many thousands of folks from all around the world each summer and I get to bill for my time. Dropping the top on my little sports car on nice days and enjoying the roads around here. Getting the hay in the barn every summer. The small of new made hay is a trigger to childhood memories. Traveling with my wife. No exotic locations, we like the northern UK and parts of Canada away from the cities. Life is good. Best Les |

1) Working things out with my wife so we get back to being best friends.
2) Vacation in August, have not been to Vegas in two decades... wife has never been... I much prefer outdoors vacations but the chaos should be interesting. 3) Step daughter visiting, hope I can get her to take the Miata for a drive. |

August in Vegas is horrible. You can't even go out to the pool. It's 90º at night. October is THE month. |
1) Tomorrow, 2) the day after and 3) next week!
I can see that continuing on for the very long term... |
1. Finishing my MBA coursework on June 30, and graduating on July 12.
2. Having my mom and dad come up from Florida for graduation 3. Getting my life back after finishing school! (Including spending time with Mrs. Z, finding all my friends I've abandoned for the sake of schoolwork, getting back to the track with my Porsche, possibly replacing my 944 with a Cayman S, having freetime...etc.) -Z-man. |

And Vegas is built on air conditioning as long as we don't leave the hotel/casino complex we should be OK. |
- Our upcoming move home to Victoria BC in three weeks!
- Motorcycle rides/Porsche drives in Beautiful BC! - Continuing to watch our 10 month old daughter grow up! There are more but rules are rules. ;) |
a great nights sleep
a great BM and my wife finishing Nursing school (ssshhhh...and landing a job) |
Refinancing the USVI house.
Selling my LR3 & buying a Defender 90 SW. Good Formula 1 season. |

OK Tweezers, you listening carefully ;) It's an old Douglas recipe so I only tell you once... You mix sachet A with sachet B and keep stirring. Really it's not that difficult. Then give it death with a blowtorch over castor sugar. |
My choices would need to be posted in PARF.:D
|
As one of those nauseatingly cheerful people who wake up happy every day, it's hard to limit the choice to three, but here goes...
1. Time spent with my husband. His time out of country and out of the immediate area totaled almost 3 years - but that's over now. If he has to go elsewhere for work, I'm going with him. 2. Any time on my bike doesn't matter if it's the 'cross, the mountain, or the road bike. It's all good 3. Sunrises. Most people love sunsets. They're nice, but seeing the world transition from gray to daylight is what delights me. It's like watching the promise of a wonderful day unfold before your eyes. angela |
