Lime Rock Park

Season Opener next weekend with some Trans-Am racing to go along with it...

Date/Description - Lime Rock Park

Anyone planning on going?

A couple P-Car buddies of mine and my family, all car nuts, will be heading up in our respective rides.

Love to cruise with a nice gang of Porsches.

T&A racing would be better, unless the T/A racing included the under 2 liter class.

Won't make it up there for the races but do go to the ALMS & Grand Am races annually. And of course I crash there

I always made the pilgrimage for those as well...until the ALMS tickets got into the $50...

You wouldn't know what to do with yourself watching T&A racing. Sheesh.

Have a good time. I think LRP is the only track my wife is actually fond of visiting.

Was originally planning on going. Had always been a annual thing. But no longer have the patience to sit 4 hrs in Memorial day traffic.

Watkins Glen is great, too, but more "sophisticated" than Lime Rock. Lime Rock is more casual, comfortable, like your favorite pair of slippers.

I went to school in the Finger Lakes area. Since then I've taken Mrs. Noah (before she was Mrs. Noah) to the Glen, too. Also very nice. But maybe because Lime Rock was geographically closer (we lived in Boston at the time), it made for a nicer trip. And it's actually a good thing that there's no racing at LRP on Sundays. It makes for a great excuse to go out and see the surrounding areas.

Yes. I love that Lime Rock has no bleacher seating. Just bring a blanket and spread out on a hill. And people were always very considerate. No one would dream of putting up a big umbrella or EZ-Up in front of another group. It just made for a more pleasant experience.
