Inline garden hose regulators - Question for PPBT

Our irrigation system is a wreck and we've been using sprinklers and a hose for quite a while. We have trouble maintaining water flow when we need to water at low volume.

I can't find a good inline water flow regulator. My ideal would be a small device to go on the end of the hose onto which I could attach a 15' length of hose. We could just leave it full blast at the hose bib, but fine tune the flow at the attachment near the sprinkler. And, it really really needs to maintain the flow unless the main pressure drops below our desired pressure.

I'm no plumber or irrigation expert, but I figure this place must have someone that is. Does anyone know of such a device?

When did watering become so precise? Do you have that much variance in pressure during a watering cycle? Anyway (I didn't look) you might try the Rainbird site or there is an irrigation supply in Signal Hill near me that might know about such a thing. They won't be open until Tuesday. It's called Ewing.

You could also include a ball or gate valve to also help regulate but maybe this thing by itself along with your hose bib would be all you need.

Thanks for the suggestions. The biggest problem is our pressure varies over the course of 30 minutes so a good flow rate at first becomes too much or too little at the end, especially at low flows. A simple valve would do it if the pressure were steady, but it's not.
