Road trip to Maine

Just got back from our yearly tour of east/south Maine. This year the weather was
beautifully hot and summery. Just what we needed after a long and dreary winter. Some highlights:

Got to spend time with my wife, my favorite traveling companion, who stills seems to like me after all these years.

Met a Pelican, the first one, a nice guy (911crazy), in Bar Harbor.

Had ideal driving weather, and my just fixed A/C worked like a charm.

Revisited all our favorite restaurants, (A bunch) the two best being "Cafe This Way" in BH and "Corsican" in Freeport.

Got to see some old friends in BH at a great B and B (Moseleys) husband and wife with his and hers Porsches. His 930 and her 356!

Got to see the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain (0450) when 325 million of ya'll were still sleeping!

Took a load of goofy pictures, here's a few.[img]

Sounds like a great time. Maine is beautiful and you probably beat the tourists!

We were in LLB but didn't buy a thing. My wife WOULD have bought a bike, but
wouldn't quite fit in the car.

BTW this little 4 dayer was exactly 1200 miles. Not much for the long distance guys but a real tune up for us. Just far enough to make it a trip, and not so far as to tire anyone out.

Went there last year, going aging in July. Saw an older 911 cab in downtown. Parked with the top down and a bike in the back. Cool place, we liked walking on the sandbar in the evening and riding the trails in Acadia.
